May 13th: tofu, maki, cabbage


Absolute deliciousness!  Sauteed veggies then placed in the rice cooker with rice and water, and rolled up with nori to make little maki.  I sprinkled gomashio seasoning on them for a bit more visual interest, as well as flavour.

Tofu is one of those make or break foods.  I’m glad that it tastes good, as cubes just don’t look good.  This baked tofu is really yummy!

I then continued the clear out the fridge theme with some red cabbage sauteed with Chinese five spice powder and a little oil.  Tasted pretty good.
