Back to basics

I feel this is a back-to-basics bento, although it looks delicious and colourful and I want to eat it already.

I prepared a layer of medium-grain rice with vegan seasoning blend (similar to furikake with no animal products), edamame with a Thai ginger salt blend, a hard-boiled egg with some Kawaii cuteness from nori, grape tomatoes, and 1/2 a kiwi fruit.  I promise you there are more tomatoes under the ones you see, but overall this one does feel a little low in veggies…  Had I not wanted cute sunny smiles, the egg could have stayed whole and I would have squeezed some more veggies in there!  Dried mango under the lid.

Snacks are greek yogurt and an apple.
