I didn’t make bentos last night. My new TV stand came, and my son and I put it together, cleaned up all the packaging it came in, moved in the XBOX, satellite receiver, Skylanders, and DVD’s. After that, we rewarded ourselves with a movie on Netflix.
So this morning, before the coffee kicked in(!), I put some quinoa in the rice cooker, defrosted a container of chili, and rounded up some plant-based goodness for bentos today. It’s missing something green, but there’s a big bunch of broccoli rabe in the fridge that I stumbled upon while looking for bento goodies that’s going to be cooked for dinner, so it will all balance out.
