Ermahgerd! Mom, come see this!

What’s wonderful about being a parent is all the awesome stuff you get to pass on to your children. My son has my passion for activism, is a very kind soul, and loves handing out the goodies I bake. He also loves video games and is finally broadening his outlook on movies, although he still prefers comic-book based geekery.

The scary thing about being a parent is the bad stuff you get to pass on to your children. Like when you’re killing time in the mall while waiting to pick the car up from scheduled maintenance, and your son finds a bento box. And excitedly brings it to you. And has to have it for lunches next year. And you realize the obsession has transcended generational borders. Uh oh.

Here it is, filled with a very exciting pbj sandwich (parenting top tip, this could easily fit a lot of pasta/rice/more than one sandwich for boys once they hit growth spurts and eat everything in sight), red pepper, and pear.
